Lollapuzzoola is a crossword puzzle tournament in which everyone solves the same puzzles, and contestants are scored on speed and accuracy.

In 2008, Brian Cimmet and Ryan Hecht created Lollapuzzoola, a "crossword tournament for everyone." In ten years, it's become the largest annual tournament in New York and the second largest in the world. High quality puzzles are commissioned every year by some of the best puzzle makers around. And the whole event fits on a single Saturday in August. Who could ask for anything more?

Lollapuzzoola is cohosted by Brian Cimmet and Patrick Blindauer, both former winners of the E Division at the American Crossword Puzzle Tournament.

Contestants battle in several divisions: Express (for speedy solvers), Local (for normal Earthlings), Rookie, Pairs, and the At-Home Division for people who can't get to New York.

The day typically includes additional games and puzzles, goofy banter, unwarranted disaster, unnecessary noise, a boatload of snacks, and everyone communes over pizza at the conclusion.
